With Halloween not too far away it seems like the perfect time to welcome more spooky games to the Switch. Lucky us, Layers of Fear Legacy is on the way.

When we first covered Birdie Crush around three weeks ago, the App Store listing said the game was expected to arrive today. However, it's going to release for iOS and Android a little later than that. But the wait won't be too long as it's now set to launch on February 3rd.

In case you missed our initial announcement, Birdie Crush is a golf game that looks to blend the sport with cutesy anime-styled graphics. The golf gameplay itself leans more on the arcade side of the spectrum rather than aiming for realism, which you might have expected given the fantasy setting.
And, privileged by age, desires to know

Listen up fans of surfing or sports games in general as True Axis has just released its latest free to play title – True Surf, and it sounds like it might worth a look.

True Surf is, surprising no-one, a surfing game. In a nice authenticity granting touch, it's being released in collaboration with Surfline and the World Surf League – two big names in the world of surfing.

True Axis has seemingly made great use of its fancy physics engine to bring the world's most ferocious waves to life, and you can expect to visit popular surfing destinations such as Hawaii, Australia, and South Africa.

You'll also be able to build up quite the collection of boards as your character hurtles toward career success. The visuals look fairly appealing and the added layer of authenticity could well make this the definitive surfing game on mobile.

So, you can head on over to the App Store now to nab this one for free. That being said, Android players will have to wait a little longer to chase those mavericks, whatever that's supposed to mean.

Some baseball fans like video game interpretations of their sport to be a dry, simulated version of the game, replicating the real-life sport right down to every last detail. Some, however, just want a fun experience they can enjoy with friends that boasts baseball’s most exciting aspects and action and that’s exactly what Super Mega Baseball: Extra Innings delivers in a big way on NVIDIA SHIELD Android TV.

And now to tempt all liberty procured.

Disney has surprised us all with a new mobile game on the way called The Duckforce Rises.

It's a card-battling RPG featuring Donald Duck and Scrooge McDuck that's currently in soft-launch in New Zealand and Australian App Store.

The idea is to do turn-based battle against villains to protect Duckburg - a town where all the Disney ducks live (Huey, Dewey, and Louis, as well as Daisy, Donald, and Scrooge).

Some of those villains include Magica De Spell, Valkyrie Duck, and the Beagle Boys. There are also beasts and aliens pulled from the outer reaches of the Disney universe.

Characters have abilities determined by their own cards such as Uncle Scrooge's boastful "Richer Than You" card that raises his attack power.

Gyro Gearloose (Disney's inventor chicken) will also appear during battles, apparently creating health packs and teleporting you to new battles.

There's a Hero Manager to consult between battles where you can upgrade character cards and unlock new characters. Are there in-app purchases here? You bet.

We'll keep an eye on The Duckforce Rises and let you know when it launches globally. For now, it can be downloaded for free on the App Store with a New Zealand or Australian account.

I don't know if you've played Overcooked yet, but it is an utter hoot. Back in March we learnt that Overcooked: Special Edition was headed to the Nintendo Switch and now we've finally got a release date.
